Enfoques Transdisciplinarios: Ciencia y Sociedad  is the Digital Journal for Science Communication of the Centro de Investigación y Asistencia en Tecnología del Estado de Jalisco A.C. (CIATEJ), a public research center affiliated with the Secretaría de Ciencia, Humanidades, Tecnología e Innovación (Secihti).

The articles published focus on interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary analyses related to social impact, effects, and transformations arising from scientific, technological, and social research, promoting the dissemination of research carried out in the center’s core areas, which include Food Technology, Environmental Technology, Plant Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology, and Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology.

In addition, the journal promotes the dissemination of studies and analyses of social problems, as well as the visibility and communication of particular situations and cases that affect social well-being.
